1. Introduction

Your privacy is important to us. It is Text Expander's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you across our Chrome Extension and its associated website.

2. Data Collection and Storage

Text Expander operates entirely offline. We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal data on any external servers. All of your snippets, shortcuts, categories, and settings are saved locally on your device using the `chrome.storage.local` API.

This means that only you have access to your data. If you uninstall the extension, your local data will be deleted by the browser.

3. Exporting Data

You have the option to manually export your snippets as a JSON file to backup your data. This file is generated entirely within your browser and is saved directly to your device's local file system.

4. Third-Party Services

We do not integrate any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising scripts within the extension.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
